Community Living
Axiom Plus Architects has worked closely with Scouts Victoria to develop a flexible and multipurpose design solution for use across multiple sites in Victoria. This approach aligns with the goal of rebranding traditional Scout halls into Scout and Community Activity Centres—modern community hubs that are locally owned and managed.A key priority in this initiative was establishing a new permanent home for the Alexandra Scout Group as part of Scouts Victoria’s Growth Strategy for Regional Victoria. The Alexandra facility not only serves as a start to the rebranding opportunity but also enhances community infrastructure, providing broader benefits to the local area. The principle design applied to the Alexandra project has been extended to other sites, including Ballan, Narre Warren, Edgars Creek, Aintree, Lakeside Pakenham and Kalkallo, with plans to expand to additional locations in the future. The hall designs continue to evolve aesthetically and functionally, seamlessly adapting to the unique context and environment of each site.
